NI Children to Lapland & Days to Remember

The aim of the NICLT is to fulfil the dreams of terminally ill, long term ill and deserving children, by taking them to see Santa at his home in Lapland and other destinations. We are a Northern Irish charity which helps children throughout our Province, by giving them a day they and their families will never forget. Many of the children endure the burden of illness throughout their entire lives – a lifetime which is sadly too short. The children who travel with us are nominated by their hospitals and doctors, who see for themselves the kids’ excitement grow as the day approaches. I hope this year even more children will benefit and that many individuals and companies will support us in our fund raising efforts.

It costs £600 to send one child but any donation, no matter how small is greatly appreciated. Our running costs are kept to a minimum and you can be assured funds raised go directly to pay for the costs of a magical trip to Lapland for deserving, terminally and long term ill local children.

Many Thanks you for your support.

Kind Regards

Jack Rodgers MBE, Chairman

(Please note: The hospitals are solely responsible for the selection of the children who travel on the trip.) if you think your child would be eligible to go on our trips. we suggest you speak to your child’s consultant.

Being involved with the NICLT has given me such a feel good factor. Knowing that I am doing something so worthwhile and putting a smile on ‘our own’ kids faces is priceless.

How You Can Help

niclt6The joy we create is priceless and every penny helps. No matter how much you are able to donate, it will make a real difference to the lives of local children living with terminal or a life limited illness. Join us as a volunteer and try something new. From abseiling to jail breaks and fun runs, Come Dine with Me competitions to international marathons, you never know where it may take you. Or, if you’re in the business of making dreams come true, nominate us as your company’s chosen charity or sponsor a child today, for only £600. Whether it’s by donating money or spending time helping us to give the best gift of all to deserving children from Northern Ireland this Christmas…the gift of an unforgettable memory and a fantasy fulfilled.

As a school you have a unique opportunity to help. Never has there been a better time to get involved. Put the fun into fundraising and make a real difference. If only 20% of the 1000 plus schools in Northern Ireland were to run a charity day, ie a non-uniform day, crazy sock day, or any other form of fund raising, we would be able to double the capacity of the aircraft thus allowing us to take double the amount of children on this fantasy trip of a lifetime!. We really do need the support of the Northern Ireland schools for our Northern Ireland children. Please contact us to see how your school can help!

  • Organise a fund raising team building event with colleagues, family or friends in aid of the NICLT and have some fun at the same time.  We are registered for gift aid which can boost personal donations by UK tax payers by a further 25%.
  • Perhaps, as a business, you would be prepared to match the fundraising efforts of your employees?
  • Allow us to meet with you and/or your staff and give you an opportunity to find out more about the charity.
  • Help us to raise awareness of the charity by placing our leaflets and 6 minute dvds in your reception and staff meeting areas.  We do not pay for expensive marketing so this is very beneficial for us.
  • Place this leaflet on your work notice board or pass it to someone who you think might help.
