About us
Northern Ireland’s Children
to Lapland Trust
The aim of the Northern Ireland’s Children To Lapland Trust is to fulfil the dreams of terminally ill, long term ill and deserving children, by taking them to see Santa at his home in Lapland. We are a Northern Irish charity which helps children throughout our Province, by giving them aday they and their families will never forget. Many of the children endure the burden of illness throughout their entire lives – a lifetime which is sadly too short. The children who travel with us are nominated by their hospitals and doctors, who see for themselves the kids’ excitement grow as the day approaches. I hope this year even more children will benefit and that many individuals and companies will support us in our fund raising efforts” (Jack Rodgers, Chairman)
How You Can Help……..The joy we create is priceless and every penny helps.
No matter how much you are able to donate, it will make a real difference to the lives of local children living with terminal or a life limited illness. Join us as a volunteer and try something new. From abseiling to jail breaks and fun runs, Come Dine With Me competitions to international marathons, you never know where it may take you. Or, if you’re in the business of making dreams come true, nominate us as your company’s chosen charity or sponsor a child today, for only £600. Whether it’s by donating money or spending time helping us to give the best gift of all to deserving children from Northern Ireland this Christmas…the gift of an unforgettable memory and a fantasy fulfilled.
Schools
As a school you have a unique opportunity to help. Never has there been a better time to get involved. Put the fun into fundraising and make a real difference. If only 20% of the 1000 plus schools in Northern Ireland were to run a charity day, ie a non-uniform day, crazy sock day, or any other form of fund raising, we would be able to double the capacity of the aircraft thus allowing us to take double the amount of children on this fantasy trip of a lifetime!. We really do need the support of the Northern Ireland schools for our Northern Ireland children. Please contact us to see how your school can help!
Shops
As a shop you can help a great deal by merely placing a charity collection bucket in your premises to help raise funds and promote a very worthwhile charity.
Businesses
Nominate us as your company’s charity, join our Christmas donation scheme or sponsor a child with life limiting illness to join this trip of a lifetime. No matter how big or small the donation, your contribution is priceless, perhaps you would consider a donation in lieu of Christmas cards or presents for your clients?

Dear Lapland Trust,
On behalf of the RVH may I thank the NICLT for the wonderful trip to see Santa on the 23rd December. As you can imagine, out children had been looking forward to the trip for a long time and when it arrived, it was a truly magical experience.
Many of our children talked of enjoying the flight and seeing so much snow for the first time, however the outstanding highlight was the reindeer ride to take you to see Santa. The children described being in the darkness and then hearing the bells ringing in the woods as the reindeer approached. It was very magical and Santa Claus was wonderful.
Other highlights include the husky dogs, excellent food and endless amounts of hot hot chocolate. The activities on the plane were also great fun and much enjoyed.
Thank you once again inviting us to take part in the trip. as usual the organisation was excellent and the team are to be congratulated.
(Jenne…… Royal Victoria Hospital For Sick Children)
