Ballymena Rugby club are hosting the 2010 Spirit Music Festival. The festival aims to raise money for Northern Ireland Children to Lapland Trust. This charity takes terminally and long term ill children to Lapland to see Santa. Jack Rodgers from the Trust said ” The festival sounds fantastic and is a great idea. I can’t thank you enough for choosing the NICLT to support, we are all thrilled”
The festival will take place on the 29th and 30th May 2010 at Eaton Park, home of Ballymena Rugby. Throughout the weekend groups from various genres will be performing on stage and there will also be food, drink and alternative entertainment. Groups that have already confirmed their attendance include Pure Blarney, Jukebox Jurors, Stonewall and solo artist Doogi Rush, from Edinburgh.
Some sponsors already on board are Ballymena Mortgage Centre and Ballyprint. The size of the festival will depend on sponsorship, if you would like to help sponsor this festival or volunteer your services on the day please contact Andy McGregor on 07729346832. You can visit Spirit on face book, which will be updated as groups and sponsors come on board.
In Northern Ireland, at any given time, there are approximately over 900 Children suffering from a terminal illness - help us to give as many of them as possible a day of joy to forget a lifetime of suffering!
