Ballymoney
On Friday & Saturday 2nd & 3rd July, the Castlecroft area in the town will come alive to the music of Stonewall, an Ulster Scots band with a very modern musical repertoire. Modern tunes from bands such as Snow Patrol mixed with traditional Ulster Scots tunes , promises to be a night that appeals to all age groups and sections of the Community.

The concert is free to attend as is the Fun day in the Ballymoney Show Grounds, the events begin at 12 noon and the afternoon has something for everyone to take part in, the legendary tug o war, the cabber tossing, the shelf throwing, wellie boot throwing, ski walking, horse shoe throwing competition, traditional Ulster Scots cookery, accordion, pipe, silver and flute bands playing, music from fuse fm all add to the event and ensure an action packed afternoon.

Pride of the Park Flute Band, Armoy held a fun day in the village on the 10th July.  During the day, money was collected from the bbq stall,  cake sale and ice cream sales with the result that £500  was raised towards the Lapland Appeal.  The band and helpers wanted to help such a worthy cause after it was featured on the local community radio station fuse fm in December 2009.  As one committee member stated,  you never know when one of your children or grand children might be in this situation, and if it helps to make the weans life more pleasant for a few hours and its a lasting memory instead of all the suffering and pain then its all be worth the effort.
